about me

Hi, I'm Hilda Beriain, an advertising creative who blends drawings with words and doesn't even know where I'm from. I was born in Pamplona, but I've lived in Melilla, Granada, Madrid, and Barcelona. For over 15 years, I've worked as a copywriter, crafting stories for brands like Vueling, ColaCao, the Red Cross, La Caixa, Voll-Damm, Swatch, Correos (the Spanish postal service), and many more. My illustrations have been with me ever since I started needing more than words to express myself, and I can't help but doodle when reality gets to me. Currently, I draw, write, and juggle five balls and a unicycle in advertising, and I also create comics and develop visual concepts for magazines and brands. I've been published in magazines like El Estafador and El Batracio Amarillo, I've worked as an illustrator for Crüilla, and I've given talks about the dreaded blank page. Oh, and now I can die saying I've written a book, and with a purpose at that: "An Upside-Down Planet" for the Upside-Down Foundation. I hope you like what I do.
